The Lauri Jean Zach Center's mission is to give all clients the support to set achievable and relevant goals. We educate and empower adults with disabilities so they may gain independence.
To foster independence and self-reliance through skill development and goal setting.
In April of 2022, the Lauri Jean Zach Center clients visited the Schraufnagel home in Glidden, WI for a lesson in syrup making. They all learned how to identify a sugar maple tree, tap a tree, and cook down the sap for syrup.
Clients and staff gathered around the finish pan to sample the product and breathe in the rich, maple goodness. They also got to take home a bottle of syrup!
Thank you to Frank Schraufnagel, Bob Cebery, Mike Schlottke, and Scott Schmidt for giving us a wonderful experience!
